The material is a high strength, elastic, non-flammable PVC. Chic Ceilings are not affected by structural movements or damage from impact. No maintenance is necessary unless the ceiling collects residue and loses some of its beauty. If it does, simply wipe the surface down. The color does not fade with time or sun exposure.
CHIC Ceiling is custom tailored to fit the exact measurements of your room. The lightweight film is heated and mounted on the metal frame previously installed around the perimeter of the room. The ceiling contracts as it cools, developing tension and creating a smooth and even surface hiding any imperfections or irregularities in the existing ceiling. Typically, no remediation of existing ceiling needs to be completed.
CHIC ceiling provides a waterproof barrier and should a leak occur, the ceiling can withstand up to 2.5 gallons of water per square foot. Once the water is removed the ceiling can easily be restored to original beauty.
